What to expect at When Night Comes

When Night Comes immerses you into a hedonistic and playful world, where surprising experiences await around every corner of this multi-room performance. It is convention-shattering, engaging and entirely unlike anything else.

Instead of observing the action from a seat, in this show you move through the experience and can participate in the action if you wish. From the moment you enter the world of When Night Comes, it is like you are “on set” with the performers.

When Night Comes is immersive theatre, and you can expect to feel like you’ve been transported to a new and curious reality, that you are invited to explore with all your senses.

The show explores a range of concepts and questions common to us all. Be prepared to indulge all of your senses, including smell and taste, with cocktail (or mocktail) tastings incorporated into the show. You will experience the show in a small group with other attendees and will be guided from room to room by the performers. You may be invited to interact with the performers, but you don’t have to, with the option to observe from a distance.

A woman in a sparkling and mystical looking costume leans in towards an audience member in a mask and black cloak.
A performer stands in the centre of the image raising a drink in their hand. On either side of them as people in masks and black cloaks. They are sitting around a table holding drinks.
A person reclines on a low chair, with an ornate round lamp above them, and lots of draping fabric. People in black cloaks and masks sit on the floor around them.

"Anyone wanting to paint the town red should consider When Night Comes an excellent party-starter.”
